Student Activities

Hello! I’m a student body president of Chinese literature department. There is a large and exited expectation to be with many school mates. I will try to make good memories with students and lives in university for you.

Student council is consist of planning department, general affairs department, publicity department, culture desk, athletic club, and scribe. Based on this configuration, we make a community of students. There are many prepared activities seniors and juniors can do together.

For example, there are orientation for new students, the first meeting event, and festivals such as Hwang-hak festival, Dae-dong festival, Family sports festival, Tae-san festival.
Students council will help students actively and we will do our best.

In the fall, There is the biggest event of starting the second semester, “Tae san jae(泰山祭)”.
All of professors, graduates, students are getting together thorough this event. Freshmen make performances with small groups Moamoa(sing a song), Woomiin(dance),
Apple tree(a play) in this event. Members learn cooperation with schoolmate and seniors while preparing for performance. It also gives opportunities to get familiar with Chinese.

  • Moamoa(Singing)

    Moamoa is a small group that creates beautiful harmonies with a heavenly voice.This group sings Korean songs and Chinese songs flawlessly to make great performances.

  • Woomiin(Dancing)

    Woomiin means “Five beautiful girl dancing”.If you are interested in dance, enjoy stage together.

  • Apple tree(Play-Acting)

    Apple tree is a small group does a Chinese play.They use props and costume like the original to make a perfect play. This is also pleasing to the audience as well as performer.

  • Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove(竹林七賢)

    Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove means seven sages who share high-minded talks in bamboo grove.“Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove” is a Chinese conversation club where Chinese and Korean students meet every week, and they discuss their each culture.
    It gives many opportunities to make friends, to make a better understanding to each country, and to improve language ability through cultural exchange.
